Bairavi Sanmugam, BSc Finance and Business Management, 2020.

Hello. My name is Bairavi and I graduated with a degree in BSc Finance and Business Management in 2020. I’m currently pursuing my postgraduate studies.
What I found most beneficial to my studies from the programme at UoRM was the hands-on experience I gained and the range of modules that were offered as it covered all the aspects that a business student needs to know which eased my transition from being an undergraduate to a masters student. All the lecturers who taught me went out of their way to make us understand the subject more and they were always ready to help and guide us when we needed it. They tracked our progress with us and encouraged us to do better and ... gave their input as well. The university's environment was refreshing and the people I was surrounded with were all kind and friendly which enhanced the overall experience. Lastly, other than just the academic prospects, the experience I gained by getting involved in university events gave me the exposure I could never get anywhere else as it brought out my capabilities and made this part of my life memorable and fun.
My advice to current and prospective students would be, be involved as much as you can and the experience you are going to get from here is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Be brave, give it a shot, try your best and you will never regret it. Enjoy every little thing as it turns into good memories and you will be thankful for it one day.
I'm a proud UoRM graduate and one of the best decisions I have made was to join UoRM

Frost and Sullivan is a “Growth Pipeline Company” which helps to identify, prioritize and execute new business growth opportunities for the past 60 years. Another reason that thrusted me to move forward is my influence as an information input and a factor throughout their business decision-making process. For instance, I am currently working on a database to generate insights about trends in patents from a timing, geographical and technological perspective. ...
What I found most beneficial to my career from the programme at UoRM was the ways to construct an idea and put it into fruition. Throughout our course, my course mates and I were pushed to our limits in figuring how to present our ideas in a significant and meaningful way.
My advice to current and prospective students would be that your university experience will decide who you would be for the decades to come. Get into more competitions and activities, hang around with like-minded individuals and be exposed to varieties of perspectives. Make full use of your university life to prepare yourself into the person you aspired to be. “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”
