We offer generous scholarships, bursaries and fee discounts for students who are keen to study at the University of Reading Malaysia. Students will only be eligible to apply for the scholarships, bursaries and fee discounts described if they are a registered student of the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) and paying fees directly to UoRM. Students that are registered as a University of Reading (UoR) student and are applying to transfer to UoRM for discrete elements of their overall UoR programme of study are not eligible. Provost's Award
This exclusive 100% tuition fee scholarship is available by invitation only to the very best, high achieving students. Only limited awards will be available at each intake for students applying to Foundation and Undergraduate Programmes.
To apply for a Provost's Award, students must first apply for their chosen programme.
Students who meet the criteria for the highest High Achiever’s Scholarship category i.e. entitled to the 30% Scholarship, will be invited to complete a second application for a Provost’s Award, which will include a personal statement about their achievements and why they think they deserve the award. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to the campus for a formal interview before the final awards are made.
High Achiever's Scholarship
Students who demonstrate exemplary academic ability and results will automatically receive this scholarship. The scholarship amount can be up to 30% of entire programme tuition fees, based on the level of academic achievement. Students are required to maintain 70% average to continue receiving scholarship in Year 2 and beyond. Please refer below for the different categories:
High Achiever's Scholarship will be automatically awarded to students based on their academic performance. Please be informed that this information will only be reflected under the full offer once offer conditions are fulfilled.
Scholarship holders are required to complete 2 to 4 recognised tasks on an annual basis, failing which the University may decide to withdraw the Scholarship.

SPM 2024 Trial Results Scholarship (only for March 2025 intake)
Students who did exceptionally well in their SPM 2024 trial results will be entitled to the following scholarship:

This scholarship is open to students sitting for SPM 2024.

The scholarship will be awarded based on the SPM trial results for the March 2025 intake.

Student(s) can apply to upgrade the scholarship to High Achiever’s Scholarship if he or she scores better in the actual SPM examinations.

The scholarship will not be downgraded if the student scores lower in the actual SPM examinations.

100% Provost’s Award is only applicable to students with the official SPM results.

A student is eligible to receive only one type of financial benefit, whether it is a scholarship or a bursary (higher value applies) except for an Early Bird discount, which can be given on top of the scholarship.

No additional application is required. The Scholarship will be awarded automatically when students apply for admission.

Alternate Financial Benefits
The University also provides the following alternate bursaries:

Alumni bursary (10% on first year tuition fees)

Alumni bursary for children of alumni (10% on tuition fees for the first year at UoRM)

Sibling benefit (10% on tuition fees for the first year at UoRM) – only eligible for the subsequent sibling(s)

Family bursary for immediate family members of University staff members (15% on tuition fees for the first year at UoRM).
*Relevant supporting documents need to be submitted upon application.
Kindly note that these bursaries are not cumulative, a student is eligible to receive only a scholarship or a bursary (higher value applies); for instance, if a student qualifies for a High Achiever’s Scholarship of 30% and an Alumni bursary of 10%, that student would not receive a 40% reduction.
Additionally, these bursaries are only applicable where primary registration is at and tuition fees are payable to UoRM. Mobility students visiting from the UoR campus would therefore not be eligible.
