About the Opportunity
The University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) invites experienced and qualified food caterers or café operators to submit their Expression of Interest to manage and operate our on-campus café.
Located at the Ground Floor of Educity Complex 1, the café is a strategic hub serving:
- Students
- Academic & support staff
- Visitors
- Other tenant organisations within the university complex
What We’re Looking For
We welcome proposals from passionate and reputable F&B operators who can:
- Provide affordable, high-quality, and nutritious food
- Offer a diverse menu: Asian, Western, fusion, and international cuisines
- Include options for vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, and health-conscious diets
- Ensure exceptional customer service
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Uphold sustainable practices (eco-packaging, waste reduction, local sourcing)
Location
The café is located on the Ground Floor of Educity Complex 1.
Conditions & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in food service or catering
- Licensing: Must hold all required local and state licences
- Operational Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekends: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (during notified events)
- Sustainability Focus: Encourage green initiatives in operations

- No utility charges – electricity and water fully covered by UoRM

Duration of Contract
- 1 year(renewable upon satisfactory performance)
