Dr Joe Lo Ying Tuan |  Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship

joe Lo Ying Tuan Dr Joe Lo Ying Tuan is Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship at Henley Business School, University of Reading Malaysia. Before joining Henley, he served as Undergraduate Director at Xi’an Jiaotong–Liverpool University (XJTLU), where he led major curriculum innovation and interdisciplinary entrepreneurship initiatives. Earlier in his career, he headed the Business Foundation Year at the University of Southampton Malaysia and was a founding member of the Southampton Malaysia Business School, contributing to programme development and accreditation across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

His research focuses on service innovation, consumer experience, and technology-enabled service environments, particularly within hospitality, food systems, and intelligent service ecosystems. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he regularly delivers invited presentations at international conferences across Europe and Asia.

Joe teaches entrepreneurship, strategic management, and research methods at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervises doctoral researchers in service innovation and technology-enabled consumer experience. His work bridges academic research with applied industry practice, supporting both scholarly development and practitioner engagement
