Abstract
Clinical neuropsychology (a study of the brain-behaviour relationship) as a whole is still in its nascency in Malaysia and South East Asia. This presentation will review the historical development of neuropsychology as a clinical subspecialty in Malaysia, the training pathways, life as a clinician, the standard and newer techniques in neuropsychological assessments and clinical investigations, functional brain mapping and advanced intraoperative techniques. Additionally, some cutting edge translational clinical researches conducted locally and published in high impact peer-reviewed journals will be reviewed as well.
