Abstract
This is a brief presentation that will cover the basic understanding of digital marketing. This lecture is designed as an introduction to digital and online advertising. It will cover the different kinds of digital and online advertising (banner ads, video ads, social media, etc.). It is useful for everyone who is interested in advertising their business online, learning how brands choose to place an ad online, focusing on marketing and advertising. It also will cover the case studies of the use of social media as an internal and external PR media, especially Facebook as a tool for handling significant issues. This presentation will show background situations, what have been done and lessons that have been learned in each case. It can be fundamental facts for improving value of digital communication management.

Worawan Yim Ongkrutraksa (Doctor of Arts), is an associate professor at Department of Public Relations, Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She was a Monbusho (Ministry of Education, Japan) Scholarship Recipient. She earned her Doctor of Arts (Communications) (GPA 4.0) from Tokai University, Kanagawa, Japan; Master of Letters in Mass Communications/Advertising from the same university and earned her second Master of Arts in Media Studies (with Distinction) from The New School for Social Research, New York, USA. Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications / Television (First Class Honours) from Chiangmai University, Thailand. She is an organizational speaker for Thai government, private organizations and a visiting professor at Nihon University, Japan. She was an assistant to the president of Chulalongkorn University in PR and communications since 2008 to 2016. She teaches in English and Thai for undergraduate and graduate program (Marketing communications and Society, Identity and Image management, International Marketing Communications). She published about 17 books and publications include Debate over Corporate Social Responsibility, Oxford University Press. Her special areas of interest are communications for disasters, social media and international marketing communications. |
