Dr Janice Lee Yim Mei | Academic Director for Teaching and Learning - Associate Professor in Real Estate Management

Dr Janice Lee Janice is the Programme Lead for BSc Real Estate. She has almost 15 years’ teaching experience in tertiary real estate education and managing real estate programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is an alumna of University of Reading and University of Western Australia.

Janice has taught various subjects in real estate and supervised postgraduate theses and BSc dissertations. She has led and been involved in numerous research projects on real estate investment trusts, property auctions, acquisitions and divestitures of corporate real estate assets. She has reviewed manuscripts for International Journal of Strategic Property Management, Pacific Rim Property Research Journal and International Surveying Research Journal. She was the Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs in Centre for Real Estate Studies, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and the Editorial Board Member for Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).

Janice is the Chairperson for RISM (Johor Branch) for 2016/17 and has extensive industrial linkage. She has organized and attended various Continuing Professional Development programs related to real estate. She is also a committee member of the Iskandar Malaysia Property Action Think-Tank, a Life Member of the Malaysian Finance Association, and a recipient of UTM’s Excellent Service Award 2016.
