To qualify as a Recipient of a University of Reading Malaysia Scholarship, applicants are required to:

1. Intend to become a registered full-time student at the University of Reading Malaysia.
2. Complete the University of Reading Malaysia Scholarship application form obtained either at University of Reading Malaysia office or downloaded from www.reading.edu.my and email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
3. Furnish true and accurate information, failing which their application will be disqualified without prior notice.
4. In the case where application for a scholarship is made on the basis of forecast results, provide evidence of final examination results before any award is made.
5. Produce certified true copies of examination results and other supporting documents stipulated in the form during the interview.
6. NOT be bonded to or be a recipient of any financial aid or award/scholarship/bursary from other educational institutions or organizations.

All decisions relating to the award of scholarships are at the discretion of the institution, are final and not open to external challenge.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email from the University of Reading Malaysia of the date, time and venue of the interview.
2. Recipients are required to sign an agreement with the University of Reading Malaysia and to observe the terms and conditions therein.
3. Recipients are required to maintain high academic standards and exemplary behavior throughout their studies at the University of Reading Malaysia.
4. Students will be required to maintain results at or above 70% in order to continue to receive a scholarship in years 2 and 3 of their studies.
5. Scholarships are awarded in the form of a tuition fee waiver and cannot be transferred to another individual, exchanged for cash or any other benefit financial or otherwise modified. A Scholarship only covers fees: any other costs incurred in the course of study (e.g., accommodation, travel, books, etc.) are borne by the Recipient.  In the case of withdrawal from the programme of study, Recipients agree to pay back the scholarship amount used up to the termination date.
6. In the event of a dispute on the eligibility for the Scholarship the decision made by the Scholarship Selection Committee is final and no appeals will be entertained.
7. The University of Reading Malaysia reserves the right to decide on the quantum and number of scholarships to be awarded or revoked.
8. Scholarship / bursary may be terminated at any time in the event of gross misconduct or failure to meet the required academic grades. In the event of termination in the course of the academic year, the Recipient may be required to pay back to the University of Reading Malaysia the amount of scholarship received up to the termination date.
