Purpose of workshop/who it is for/what’s involved:
The workshop is designed for current PhD students at UoRM and will provide an overview of qualitative research, including underlying philosophical assumptions, major qualitative research designs, data collection techniques, and analytical techniques. A special focus will be made on the communicative context of data collection and interpretation of results in qualitative studies.
Biography
Dr Marat Zagidullin is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Reading Malaysia. He comes from an interdisciplinary background with his Master’s degree in English from University of Bergen, Norway and his Doctoral degree from Interdisciplinary PhD programme in Social Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno, USA. Prior to joining UoRM in 2017, he taught social sciences at universities in Istanbul, Turkey. His current research interests include social and cultural factors that influence cognitive processes and attitudes.
