Mohd Ridhwan Abdullah | Head of Foundation, Study and Language Institute (FSLI)
Mohd Ridhwan Abdullah began his career teaching academic English, research writing, human communication, and English immersion programmes to local and international students before joining the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM). He has trained students and teachers in numerous IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and MUET preparatory courses and has been involved in several courses and training programmes on student-centred learning and e-learning.
In addition, he has worked with local students for language workshops and English language outreach programmes, trained young adults for public speaking, and trained local language-school teachers on classroom management.
At UoRM, Ridhwan leads the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) team. The EAP section of the University offers various programmes such as Pre-Sessional English, short courses, and Academic English modules.
Ridhwan’s current role is leading the Foundation, Study and Language Institute (FSLI), which offers International Foundation Programme, Pre-Sessional English Programme, and General Studies Programme (MPU). His role involves expanding the Institute and ensuring quality delivery in Malaysia.
A member of MELTA and BALEAP, Ridhwan holds a Master of Applied Linguistics.
