Anasakina Ismail  | Lecturer in Psychology 

Anasakina Ismail  Anasakina Ismail is a PhD candidate in Educational Psychology, specialising in constructivist pedagogical practices and their impact on student motivation and self-concept. Her academic interests also span community psychology, correctional psychology, criminology, and criminal behaviour.

Since 2020, she has been actively involved in undergraduate teaching while also serving as a social advocate with non-governmental organisations, working on initiatives that connect education, community development, and social justice.

Through her research and practice, she is passionate about advancing inclusive and contextually relevant approaches to education, with a particular focus on supporting underserved learners and alternative education pathways.

  3. Educational Psychology and Learner Development – Focusing on motivation, self-concept, and pedagogical practices that support diverse learners in formal and informal education settings.
  4. Alternative and Community-Based Education – Exploring inclusive, context-sensitive approaches to education that empower learners in marginalised and non-traditional learning environments.
  5. Well-being and Resilience – Understanding how community support, education, and cultural practices contribute to psychological resilience and well-being
