Alamelmangai Ananthakumar

Alamelmangai Ananthakumar joined UoRM as Lecturer of Law in August 2021. She graduated with Honours in Bachelor of Laws from Northumbria University, UK. She also holds a Master of Laws from University of Malaya and currently working on her PhD studies.

Alamelmangai began her legal career with a conveyancing legal firm in Kuala Lumpur while completing Masters. She then ventured into legal education with SEGi Group of Colleges. Here, she has had the opportunity to lead the Faculty of Law while also teaching Law for Pre-University and Undergraduate levels of studies. She has seen through the management of both external (University of London LLB International Programme and Pearson International A-Levels) as well as homegrown programmes. As a young academic, Alamelmangai firmly believes that incorporating a well-balanced conventional and contemporary teaching and learning will prepare learners to embrace prospective legal needs and community.
