Sr Liaw Lam Thye

Principal Consultant, Taylor Hobbs

Sr Liaw Lam Thye holds an Honoured BSc degree in Land Management and MBA in Construction and Real Estate from the University of Reading (UK), and a RICS postgraduate diploma in Project Management.

He is the Principal Consultant of Taylor Hobbs, a property consultancy company. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Sr Liaw is a Registered Valuer, Registered Estate Agent and Registered Property Manager with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers.

Sr Liaw is a member of the working committee in amending the Sabah’s Land (Subsidiary Title) Enactment 1972 and drafting of the new Building Management Enactment. He is an accessor of the RICS and was part of the RICS Accreditation Team to assess the Master of Facilities and Maintenance Management of University of Malaya in 2016.

Sr Liaw has lectured MBA courses in Marketing, HRM and Change Management. He has written over 450 papers on management issues for a local newspaper. He has undertaken a Research Study to Formulate a Biomass Policy for Sabah in 2010 and Research on The Causes of Rising Property Prices in Sabah (2004-2014) in 2015
