A variety of hot and cold food and drinks is available in the Heartspace at the University of Reading Malaysia. Grandma’s Recipe offers a selection of local Malaysian cuisine such as rice and noodle dishes and curry. Dol Che Vita serves a variety of Western-style food such as sandwiches and salads. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
For hygiene and health and safety reasons, students are advised to avoid consuming food and drinks (with the exception of bottled water) in any carpeted area of the campus, including RUMSA, classrooms, computer labs, lecture theatres and the Learning Resource Centre.
There is also a range of other food and drink options off campus. A restaurant and other facilities can be found at the Student Village and Multi-Varsity Complex in EduCity. The Anjung Neighbourhood Centre (Anjung), which is located a short walk from the University, is home to a hawker centre which offers a range of local and international cuisine, as well as a 23-hour Mamak restaurant.
