Experience a University of Reading Malaysia Open Day – 5 and 6 December 2015

This Saturday and Sunday, the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) will be hosting a weekend of open days at its outstanding new campus in Educity, Iskandar.

More than 1000 visitors from across the region are expected to visit the campus, which opened its doors to students in September. They will discover how UoRM is offering students the best of both worlds:  a UK degree from a global top 1% university in Malaysia, with fees at around half the level of the UK.  Uniquely, UoRM guarantee their students the opportunity to spend part of their studies at the University’s main campus in Reading, just outside London. This makes getting a UK degree with UK study experience more flexible, accessible and affordable than ever before.

An open day is the perfect chance for visitors to experience the campus first-hand, talk to students and academics about the programmes on offer and see what facilities are on offer, including EduCity’s International Student Village and the Sports Complex.

The University still has places available on its January undergraduate intake in Real Estate, Quantity Surveying, Business and Management, Finance and Business Management.  Foundation students can also start a pre-sessional English programme in January, ahead of a fast-track Foundation in Business programme, which begins in March.

Overseeing all the developments is the University’s Provost, Professor Tony Downes. He believes the new Malaysian university will offer its students a unique higher education experience.

“The University of Reading has been successfully educating international students for more than a century,” he said. “Malaysian graduates of Reading are already leading businesses and professions, across the ASEAN region “

“The opening of the campus in September was the most significant milestone yet– an institution designed to bring the best elements of a UK university education to the heart of south-east Asia.

“Now students will be able to have the best of both worlds – the chance to study for a UK degree, taught by top academics, right here in Malaysia.  I look forward to welcoming them to our stunning campus next weekend. ”
