There is a huge demand for legal professionals in the emerging oil and gas industry on the global platform. With this programme, we equip graduates with sector-specific knowledge and skills that will help graduates make a real difference in developing more sustainable practices of oil and gas resources.

This unique LLM degree focuses on a fascinating combination of legal, environmental and economic considerations which forms the backbone of the oil and gas industry.

You will take on modules from a variety of topics such as law, business, politics, environmental science and construction management.

Throughout the programme, you will build the knowledge, practical skills and necessary tools for some of the more advanced intellectual tasks involved.

    Programme content:
  • Three compulsory modules – Oil and gas contract law, Legal issues in oil and gas and project management skills
  • An independent project on a topic which has a meaningful relationship to issues of oil and gas law and/or your choice from a list of optional modules

Entry requirements
Degree in Law or degree with a substantial legal component: First or Upper
Second Class Honours.

Alternatively, First or Upper Second Class degree in Economics degree with a substantial economic component or a related area or with suitable work experience are encouraged to apply

1 year full-time or 2 years part-time
