Dr Evelita Estela Celis | Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance
Evelita is the Programme Lead for BSc Accounting and Finance at Henley Business School Malaysia. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). She earned her Accountancy degree from the Divine Word University, Tacloban City in the Philippines. A recipient of the Philippine Civil Service Local Scholarship Grants, she finished her Master in Business Administration from the Ateneo De Manila University School of Professionals. She earned her Doctorate in Business Administration from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Before she joined HBS at University of Reading Malaysia, she was Dean of School of Business for two years and Associate Professor for six years at Nilai University in Malaysia. She was also the Dean of the College of Business Education at the Technological Institute of the Philippines for more than ten years.
Evelita is active in research. She was a member of the Research Panel of the CIMA- Centre of Excellence South East Asia and Nilai University’s Research and Innovation Committee.
Evelita’s good performance garnered her several awards: Best Professor in Financial Management by CMO Asia in 2014; NCR Winner in the 2009-2010 Search for Outstanding Finance Educators by the Financial Executives Organization of the Philippines and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas; and First Runner-Up in the 2009 Search for The Outstanding PERAA Members.
