Jamaludin Yaakob | Lecturer in Construction Law
Jamaludin Yaakob teaches legal modules in the School of Built Environment, University of Reading, Malaysia. He essentially feeds in the required legal inputs contained in the BSc Quantity Surveying Programme, specifically, Construction Statutory Law (CE2CSL) and Construction Law 2 (CE2CCL2).
He read LL.M Construction Law at Reading University, United Kingdom. He had been an academic staff of Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment (as it was known then), University Technology Malaysia (UTM). He is now a retiree and serving as a sessional lecturer at Reading University Malaysia.
He had taught a wide range of construction related legal modules during his nearly thirty year service with UTM, both at undergraduate and post graduate levels, specifically, MSc in Construction Contract Management. He had taught, apart from the usual basic legal principles, modules such as construction contracts, arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, insolvency law, land and property development laws, planning law, conveyancing, civil procedure, and many others.
