COMMERCIAL LAW

In this era of globalization and liberalization which has led to the enormous growth in international commerce, acquiring sound knowledge of international commercial law is the key to appreciating the opportunities and successfully overcoming the challenges offered by such transnational commercial transactions.

This LLM is an ideal preparation for a career in international commerce as it covers areas of expertise required to succeed in international trading as it addresses the business and legal challenges arising in international commerce.

You will take on modules from a variety of topics such as law, business, politics, finance and management.

Throughout the programme, you will build the knowledge, practical skills and necessary tools for some of the more advanced intellectual tasks involved.

    Programme content:
  • Three compulsory modules – Advanced Issues in International Commercial Law, International Corporate Finance and the Law, Project Skills,
  • An independent project on a topic which has a meaningful relationship to issues of international commercial law and/or your choice from a list of optional modules

Degree in Law or degree with a substantial legal component: First or Upper Second Class Honours.

Alternatively, First or Upper Second Class degree in Economics, Business, Finance degree or a related area or with suitable work experience are encouraged to apply
